Terms & Conditions

This website is run by Science Platform, Dhaka, Bangladesh. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. Products

• We sell printed books published by Science Platform. Each book may be available in Bangla and English versions; please check the version you select before ordering.
• Pictures, sample pages and descriptions are shown to help you choose. Covers or page details of a later print run may differ slightly.
• Books marked Coming soon · Pre-order are not printed yet. They are sent or made ready for pickup once they are printed.

2. Prices and payment

• All prices are in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and are shown on the website at the time of ordering. Prices may change without notice, but an order already placed keeps its price.
• You can pay in three ways: online through SSLCommerz (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, bank cards and other methods they offer), cash on delivery, or cash at the branch for pickup orders.
• The website collects the book price only. For home delivery, the courier charge is paid to the Steadfast Courier rider when the parcel arrives, at Steadfast's current rate for the parcel's weight and your area. The charge is shown at checkout.
• Online payments are processed by SSLCommerz. We never see or store your card, bKash or bank details.
• An online order is confirmed only after SSLCommerz confirms the payment to us.

3. Delivery and pickup

• Home delivery anywhere in Bangladesh by Steadfast Courier. We aim to hand your parcel to the courier within 2 working days of the order (Fridays and public holidays excluded). Steadfast usually delivers in 1–3 days inside Dhaka and 2–5 days outside Dhaka; these times are the courier's and may vary.
• Branch pickup from our Banasree or Siddheswari branch. We'll tell you when your books are ready. Please collect them within 15 days; uncollected unpaid orders may be cancelled after that.
• Chapter-wise books are available for branch pickup only.
• Please give a correct name, mobile number and full address. We're not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by wrong or incomplete details.
• You can follow your order on the Track order page with your order number and mobile number.

4. Accounts

• An account is optional. If you create one, keep your password private; you're responsible for orders placed from your account.
• If you forget your password, contact us and we'll reset it after checking that the mobile number is yours.

5. Our right to cancel

We may cancel an order if a book cannot be supplied, if the price shown was clearly a mistake, or if an order looks fraudulent. If you have already paid, you get a full refund as described in the Refund policy.

6. Copyright

All books, sample pages, covers and text on this website belong to Science Platform and their authors. Copying, scanning, sharing or reselling them without written permission is not allowed.

7. Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We're not responsible for delays caused by the courier, natural disasters, strikes or other events outside our control.

8. Law

These terms follow the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Dhaka.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day you order applies to that order.

Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to deliver your books, and we don't sell your information to anyone.

What we collect

• Your name, mobile number, delivery address and district, and email if you give one.
• Your order: books, versions, quantities, payment method, and payment status.
• If you create an account, your password, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form that no one can read, including us.
• For online payments, the transaction reference SSLCommerz sends us. We don't receive or store card numbers, PINs or OTPs.

How we use it

• To process, pack and deliver your order, and to let you track it.
• To contact you by call, SMS or WhatsApp about your order.
• To keep sales and accounting records, as required by law.

Who we share it with

We share your information with anyone else only if the law requires it.

Keeping it safe

The website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. Only Science Platform's authorised staff can see orders, through password-protected accounts.

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising cookies. Your browser keeps your cart and sign-in on your own device so they're there next time you visit. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct your details, or to delete your account and personal information. We keep order records only as long as needed for accounting and the law.

Children

Many of our customers are students. If you're under 18, please order with a parent's or guardian's knowledge.

Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy

Cancelling an order

• You can cancel free of charge before your parcel is handed to the courier, or before a pickup order is marked ready. Call or WhatsApp us with your order number.
• Pre-orders can be cancelled at any time before the book is sent or made ready.
• Once a parcel has been handed to the courier it can no longer be cancelled. If you refuse a cash-on-delivery parcel at the door, you may have to pay the courier's delivery and return charge.

Returns: damaged, misprinted or wrong books

• Check your parcel when you receive it. If a book is damaged, has missing or misprinted pages, or is the wrong book or version, tell us within 3 days of receiving it, with your order number and photos.
• We'll replace the book free of charge (we pay the courier charges), or refund it if a replacement isn't available.
• The book must be returned in the condition you received it, with no writing or marks.

What we can't take back

• Books returned for a change of mind after delivery.
• Books that have been written in, marked, or damaged after delivery.
• The courier charge paid to the rider, except when the return is our mistake.

Refunds

• Refunds for online payments go back through SSLCommerz to the method you paid with, or by bKash or Nagad to your mobile number if you prefer.
• We start the refund within 3 working days of approving it. It usually reaches you within 7–10 working days, depending on your bank or mobile wallet.
• Cash paid at a branch is refunded in cash at that branch, or by bKash or Nagad.
